Sighhhh….
Gosh, you guys, when it rains, it freaking pours, that’s for sure. Check it, yo: A) Last week, John got a small dent fixed in the Scion, but today he noticed that between then and now, the car got dented again, and scraped up by what looks like a bike. B) The transmission in the Honda is going out, and C) Stupid taxes – the IRS wants $1400 from us. Why, people, must all of this occur this particular week? This, the most worst week ever? The week where, if I am going to spend $4000, I want it to be on dessert-related items only? Or…Cheetos?
Of course, John reminded me of the things that really matter: great family, great friends, healthy/happy/lots o’ love. Of course, I knew this already, because of the well wishes I got after yesterday’s post. Y’all are the best, for realz. *sniff*
Oh, here’s something mega cool: John is signing up to do this. I am so super proud of him! You should send him an email and wish him luck! I have to say, I’m a little jealous that I won’t be there to do it too, but… well… I’m not exactly what one would call a fish in the water, unless that fish is, um, dead. I mean, I can get around and everything, but…ahhh…I don’t think I’d do well in a competition. John is speed of sound fast though, at running AND swimming, and I’m positive he has mad biking skilz. The next thing you know, you’ll be hearing about John Williams, the Ironman 2007 winner. My man, y’all, he’s the best.
I wanted to remind you I have tomorrow off, and it will be filled with such exciting things as: Laundry! Homework! and Cleaning! So you will have to forgive me if I don’t post…And as a matter of fact, just in case I don’t, I want to continue with the March Birthday shoutouts - Saturday March 25th is my brother in law Brian’s bday. Brian is the best wakeboard tutor ever, and I remember one drunken night long ago (six years, jeez…) in Reno, when we were both just the "significant others" of John and Christy, and I said something like "we’re going to know each other forever!!!" but much…slurrier. To this day, Brian still has the same look when he talks to me as he did that night, and that look says: Treena, you are wierd. Love you, B! Happy Birthday! Now, y’all, unless something amazing happens in the laundry room, I’ll be taking the night off – have a great weekend!!
CIAO!
