Happy Spring!
Well, John got my iPod today! He said he loaded it up with tons of music, and I highly suspect this is because he knows I am not tech-savvy and is hoping this will prevent the inevitable instant message that will probably go something like this: WHERE R U? Need help – IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!
And, I want to point out: "instant message", because John and I do not speak on the phone unless it is absolutely necessary. Y’all, I despise the phone. I know at this point my parents are saying “well, I didn’t see any telephone despising when you were at home!” but let me point out: twenty.years.ago. Now, I avoid it, if at all possible, and if you don’t believe me, ask…well, ask anyone. As supporting evidence, I would like to point out I purchased a 1,400 minute phone card in November, and as of today, there are 1,352 minutes remaining. Phones are just… look, they require you to remain fairly static during conversations. You can’t hop around, or flail your arms, or fall to the ground dramatically, if necessary. Phone conversations are always awkward affairs for me, it’s horrible, and anytime a phone call has to be made, I beg John to do it, or just… don’t make the phone call. I am sorry if I have I ever promised to call you back, because the odds are - you’re still waiting! Um, ha ha ha? No? Well, anyhow, John and I have long and very involved conversations via IM, and in fact, we utilize !THREE! different messengers: MSN, Yahoo, and our favorite, the Air Force IM. At this point, when I picture John in my head, he appears in various states of smiley. It’s quite disturbing.
Today is the first day of spring, and appropriately, the weather outside is absolutely gorgeous! We all have a small touch of spring fever, which means only that I am more annoying than usual, because I want to be outside. Oh, also: not conducive to working. In fact, I am AT work right this minute, typing this up on a word document, so all I have to do tonight is simply cut and paste, and viola! Instant post! This is great, as I went to bed at 8:30 pm last night, and only read half of the chapter my term paper is on. If you were wondering, the subject assigned to me is Monopoly. And, let me clarify - not A monopoly, but the GAME Monopoly. I have to determine its product type, its life cycle, its surviveablilt…..zzzzz…..! Sorry – I fell asleep. It is a conundrum, this writing term papers for class thing, because I love to write, obviously, but there is a difference between what I love writing because it’s fun, and what I don’t love writing because it’s completely boring, and the difference is that posting to my blog? Is definitely not writing a term paper on Monopoly. Fortunately, when this class is over, my two remaining classes are: Speech (ha ha! Piece o’ cake, right?) and Korean. There are no term papers in either one of them, thank god, and whoever decided to make a class where talking outloud was not only graded, but an actual requirement for a degree, was absolutely brilliant and I want to marry them immediately, because for me, Speech class = Instant A+. Korean might be slightly more difficult, because I know precisely two words of the Korean language, and they are: Soju, and Yaki. One is alcohol, and the other is food, and sometimes, that’s all you need to know, really. Oh, okay, so maybe: Excuse me, where is the bathroom?. Because the three sort of…fit together, right? Golden.
Alright, term paper, y’all. For REALZ.
CIAO!
