This took FOREVER. Enjoy it or die.
(My day in pictures - I thought I wouldn’t type as much, if I was posting pictures too. Ha ha ha.)
So. I started out my day o’ shopping by putting off getting ready until the last possible minute. Then I realized I had not left any time to eat breakfast. No, that does not happen regularly. However, it was necessary to ensure getting to the bus stop on time:
Which I did. I took the white one.
At precisely 8:30, we stopped at this rest stop:
I normally use the restroom here, but today I took pictures. Immediately upon leaving, I had to pee.
We arrived at Osan around 10:30, and I grabbed a taxi to the front gate, which is a few miles away. I didn’t take pictures of this part, because I was Girl On A Mission, so I will shamelessly use John’s pictures from his February visit, and pretend they are mine. First, the front gate:
You don’t really see snow in this picture, because it is September and was very hot today, 23 September, which is the day I took this picture. The shopping area is behind me.
Oh. Here:
The shopping area. I took that picture myself. Today. Anyway, that store behind me is the first place I went. I got something for John. It won’t be ready until Tuesday, but they are sending it to me for free. Thanks, Mike’s All Seasons.
After that, I bought other things. Here is a picture of the other things:
I wasn’t kidding when I said yesterday "…not entirely above the table" or whatever it was I said that means I don’t really want to show you what I bought because I’m absolutely positive that it’s…see, I don’t even want to type the word I think it is. So you don’t think it’s like, shrunken heads or rhinoceros sex organs, I’ll just tell you: it’s purses. I normally wouldn’t care except there happens to be a lot of them in that particular bag, and of course I’m weird and it made me nervous. In reality, it’s as boring as it sounds, so…move along.
To celebrate my extremely successful shopping trip and because at this point I was delirious from hunger, I had this fabulous sandwich:
In this picture the olive looks like a malevolent eye and the pickles look a bit…mucousy. In person, they looked like exactly like pickles and an olive. It was delicious.
That’s when I looked at my watch:
And realized I had done all that in less than 45 minutes. AND, that I could make the noon bus home, if I ate fast.
Thank god I do:
As I was taking this picture, a random guy asked me if I wanted him to take a picture of me, and I said "No, thanks" while thinking "Why in the hell would I want a picture of me WITH the bus?" Then I realized that he was probably thinking at the same time, "Why in the hell would she want a picture OF the bus?"
I decided not to say anything.
Then I came home.
Auf Wiedersehen!!!

Wow - I love the pictures! I ignored the snow as instructed; September looks really warm there. And muggy.

John - As you should be. Even if you aren’t.
Pix - Warm and muggy is about right.
