Non-perfect timing (now with updates!)
You guys. We are having this massive storm here with hurricane force winds. And I swear to god, I’m not even being dramatic . Of course, tomorrow we are supposed to board a plane at an airport that had over half its flights canceled today, and fly to another country that is ALSO being battered by a freak deadly storm. So that’s fun. I’ll let you know how it turns out.
However, I won’t be letting you know until Monday night, because I only have the next four days to spend with my parents, sister, and extended family and while I love you all (well, perhaps love might be too strong…like you immensely…that sounds better) those days will be short and I don’t want to share. Besides, think of how much I’ll have to tell you! I’m going to a different country during a deadly storm. Adventure!
***update: well, it’s nearly midnight on Thursday and as of now, all flights are canceled for both the airline we are flying AND the airport we’re supposed to fly out of. Awww. Poor me. We’ll see how it looks tomorrow.***
Don’t pine for me too deeply. I will be back…(or perhaps, never even leave! stupid pretend hurricane.)
Tschuss!!!

I never really thought of it before, but I have never really thought of Europe as having really bad weather.
I don’t know why that is.

ah the adventure of travel (and weather), hope it all works out well so you can have the fun family weekend…

Perhaps you could all pop umbrellas and manage to fly to the other country for free? Mary Poppins style…if the weather continues to cooperate more with personal travel and less with group travel.

Hope you managed to make it. London’s such a cool place! Unfortunately, their weather is a bit too much like ours here in the Pacific NW. I know you won’t let it dampen your spirits, though!
