You guys. This whole thing…you know, Typepad was great, because I didn’t have to DO anything, just select it and BAM! It was there. Here, I have to find a plugin, and extract it, and ftp into the backend, and while it is actually FAIRLY easy, it’s also sort of hard. I specifically am having a hard time with Technorati, Feedburner, and Sitemeter.

However! I totally love love love love LOVE Wordpress, all of the things it can do are so damn cool! Plus, I can switch my templates any time I want. And now, I am (I think) officially done talking about my blog, because blogging about your blog is pretty much the most boring thing in the world.

So, we don’t have to work tomorrow, which is cool, but the girls still have school, which is not. We WERE going to go to Belgium for the ultra fabulous furniture everyone keeps telling me about but now we sort of can’t. This is good and bad because I don’t have to buy furniture. Hey, look, it’s the same reason for both! Why is that? Wellio! Because the ultra fabulous furniture from Belgium is also ultra expensive, and while I do enjoy the money spending experience in general (or specifically, in regards to shoes. and clothes. and…high end face cream) I don’t like doing it in lump sums of the largish type. Also, we STILL have not gotten around to getting our international driver’s licenses. And, maybe that is the real reason why we aren’t going. Ahem.

So guess what? I joined a cross-country team. Ha ha ha! I know! It’s so funny to me, too! I haven’t run for nearly six months! I have undefined pain! I’ve never participated in a sport! What was I thinking?! In preparation, I actually DID start running again this week. I did 2.5 miles Tuesday, and 3 miles Wednesday, and every.single.step I would think either “what the hell was I THINKING” or “I used to ENJOY this?” or just “ow”. Whatever, at least it will give me something to write about (May 22-you GUYS! Today, I came in last! It was so great!).

I have new people in my shop now. One of them…wait, did I ever tell you we have a friend who likes coffee so much that he buys his own raw coffee beans and roasts them himself in his very own coffee bean roaster? No? Well, we have a friend who does that. This is great because he likes to practice on us (for free), which means sometimes we get some pretty damn fine coffee (for free). Anyway, one of the new guys is THIS guy. Which…you know, I have been trying to finish this story for about ten minutes now and just can’t remember where I was going…new guys…coffee…nope. I lost it.

Anyway, Scott! You said in your last comment that you were nestled snugly between bitchypoo and the beav on my linklove list…is this true? Because that’s not how you show up when I look at it. So - hey, you guys, help me out here. Is my linklove list showing up correctly, i.e. alphabetized, in your browser? Or is it just all willy-nilly? Because when I look at it, I have aeleope at the top, and the writing life at the bottom, and if it’s not like that…huh. Well, then I’m confused.

Which, really…is that surprising to you, at this point of the game? No. Not to me, either.

Well? What do you think? EXCITING, right? It’s a total switch from Typepad to Wordpress, with hosting done on our own server.

I’m (meaning: John) still totally working on it (meaning: I point at something and say “I want THISSSSSS” and “This needs to be diiiiifffferennnnntttttt!”) and also? That girl is not me. I’m quite sure it’s Victoria Beckham, actually. What? It came loaded in the template! However, it really IS a fabulous picture…you know what? How about you just PRETEND it’s me?!

Anyhow, obviously some things need to be changed around and added and the date won’t display correctly and other things that I’m sure need to be done but I just don’t know about them yet because hi, this is a LOT harder than Typepad. So. BEAR WITH ME, thanks, you guys are great!

You guys, big news is afoot!  Changes!  Moves! 

…but I have to tell you all about it later.  Soon, but still…later.  Oh!  Because you are wondering, I did take my test today, and I can guarantee with complete certainty that I might or might not have passed.  Vague enough?  Good.  Now you can all wait impatiently with me until results come out in June. 

And now I am off to bed, which, um…I am wayyyy too excited about the fact that since early morning studying time no longer exists in ammogirl world, I get to sleep in until the indulgent hour of…five a.m.  Sighhhh…."Yay".
