hiatus…sort of
Okay, I can’t promise much over the few weeks, due to an upcoming multi-national, multi-service contigency exercise. I’ve been going in early and staying late all week (I haven’t worked out ONCE) (I also cancelled my SPINAL NERVE-BURNING, which was supposed to take place yesterday) and starting next Friday, I’ll be working 12-hour shifts two weeks straight. Not that I’d have much to post about anyway, unless I write entire entries consisting of the word work over and over, since that’s all I’ll be doing. Sleeping? Nope. Working out? Nope. Playing ROCK BAND!!!? …well…that’s different.
Anyway, just wanted to let you know. This work thing has really got to stop.
Tschuss!!

Yeah, when the work gets in the way of the blog, it’s time to reassess your priorities. I mean, really!

I’ve always thought work wouldn’t be so bad if it was only for an hour or two a day. Oh and I think ROCK BAND!!! totally counts as a work out.

I always kind of enjoy exercises… something about peoples attitudes change and everyone just kin of does the collective sign of being screwed together and everyone gets the work done. Atleast thats how it is on the line… that and lots of card playing lol

Kari – seriously. things have got to change.
FG – Absolutely on both counts–in fact, I work up a sweat when I’m playing ROCK BAND!!! I checked on fitday.com and a one hour session of drumming burns 150 calories. Of course I’m sure that’s for a professional drummer who can play more than medium on ROCK BAND!!! but…who cares! 150 calories/hour it is!
Rodney – That’s so true! I had actually initially written something to that effect, about how being in a crap situation tends to be okay when EVERYONE is in the same one with you, and you job and then you’re done, but it sounded weird–It’s FUN to work 12 hours 14 days straight?–so I deleted it. Being deployed is the same way, right?

deployments arent bad till you get some asshole supervisor who wants to earn bullets off your work lol… atleast thats my view on it…. deployments have changed since the first time I went. Theyve become much more political rather than fighting the war on terror. Its become more liek what can this deployment do for me rather than what can I do for thsi deployment… at all levels…
Exercises are more laid back and no where near as long lol. This deployment is almost up for me… another couple weeks and I’ll be home. 4 months on this trip. But we deploy once a year too… I guess thats why theyre looking to make us start going for 6 months here soon… Ok th
