i do it out of love
Today was my eleventh day straight of getting up and going to work. I am here to tell you that doing it sucks fat ass. HOWEVER. Tomorrow, I don’t have to go to work AT ALL, which is EXTREMELY fabulous, and prompted me to schedule a full-on spa pedi for the exact middle of the day just because I could.
You know what I miss? In California, I would get a pedi every two weeks like clockwork, and it cost around $40 a month. I miss that. I love having pampered feet, but here, it costs 35 Euro for said pampering. Anyway, pedi at noon, and then! Friday evening, I am having a mini ROCK BAND!!! party, prior to a Work Event that involves an 800 Euro open bar.
Andddd…that’s it. It’s the end of the school year and both girls are, um…uninspired, to say the least, and that puts me in a cranky mood. I have reached the point in parenting where I start tossing out fun sayings such as “I am your MOTHER and you will DO WHAT I SAY” and “now means NOW”, with a dose of “You just wait until YOU HAVE YOUR OWN KID and THEN we! WILL! SEEEE! how you like it”.
I’m rambling. Am I rambling? I’m rambling. Good god, I am typing wayyyy too long after the Ambien has kicked in. Goodbye.

You should be careful, you could put an eye out saying things like that. And as long as you live under MY roof, you’ll live by my rules;)

Thank God for the pedicure! And, if it’s any consolation, I’m sure they’ve gotten more expensive in California, too.
You’ve earned the right to talk like a mom, by the way. It’ll give your girls something to bond over…

Kudos on the pedi and the fabulous day off!! AND…how about this one…BECAUSE I SAID SO, THAT’S WHYYYY!!!!! We are officially “those parents” we said we won’t be.

Chris - I’ve used the roof one too, but like this: MY house, MY rules.
kario - Oh, they’ve done a lot of bonding over the past few months, that’s for sure!
FG - Duh! Maybe you should try one, and then you wouldn’t suck so bad.
Kori - I love using that one. I save it for special occasions.
