but it makes ice cream. and soup!
I bought a blender today. It was sort of an impulse buy, powered by two girls standing next to me saying, “Please mom? PLEASE?” and the fact that the demonstration produced: hot tortilla soup, peanut butter, peanut butter cup smoothies, mocha smoothies, strawberry ice cream, and juice made with cabbage and whole strawberries. All in 10 minutes. How could I resist? Well, I tell you, I couldn’t. So, more money than you could ever imagine spending for a blender ever later, I now have a…actually, I’m not even going to tell you, because it seems very “As Seen On TV” and quite frankly, I’m a little amazed at the self-medication via shopping I’ve been indulging in since John has been gone.
However, this new, amazing blender can’t be used until I find a 1500 Watt transformer, because of course it’s not dual voltage, and transformers are really expensive, and did I tell you this was an impulse buy? Powered by peanut butter cup smoothies? Made with freshly made peanut butter?
It looks really nice on my counter, though.
God, my life is really boring right now.

so a couple years ago my mom impulse bought a vita mix blender during a demo they had at the PX. For a while there she was blending the whole world, and even tried to slip beets into a smoothie she made me. Beets can not be slipped into anything.

FG - Oh. Well, that sounds…fairly similar to THIS particular situation. Beets, Bears, Battlestar Galactica.
