Well, after all the hateyness of the last entry, guess what!  When I turned on the tv with not-very-high hopes at 530 am Friday morning, primetime Olympics were on!  It wasn’t all super fabulous, because I missed swimming, but I got to watch the gymnastics all-around, so I was happy.  And, I recorded last nights primetime through the computer (…I don’t know.  John’s got a setup consisting of the AFN receiver, the tv tuner from my old laptop, his desktop computer, and the Xbox 360) and right this second, the men’s 100M final is on and…there is Michael Phelps!  I get to watch!  Hold on, I’ll brb.

Awesome! You know, after all the bitching, being able to watch both the women’s all-around and the 7th gold medal win proves one important thing: whining a lot solves everything!

But who cares about the Olympics, the girls came home yesterday!  They are fabulous.  I…actually have a lot to say about their trip but I’ll keep it to myself.  Just like always, my house is instantly messy, but it’s…perfect.  I’m taking leave through Thursday next week to fulfill the duties of chauffer, as the girls have scheduled an entire summer’s worth of hanging out with their friends into this last week before school starts.  Not only that, but Lindsey has (this is exciting!) tryouts for the HIGH SCHOOL TENNIS TEAM (…I’m so nervous!) on Friday, and we have to get in as many lessons as possible so she can brush up.

Anyway, today is Taylor’s 13th birthday.  Now I officially am the mother to two teenage daughters, and I want to remind everyone that…WE SHARE A BATHROOM.  Please feel pity for me.
