procrastinate: to put off until the very last minute. or something.
I had yesterday off, but I spent the ENTIRE DAY doing six papers for class.
Actually. I spent from 7 to 11am surfing the internet and reading and…other stuff, and then…okay. I SUCK, okay? What am I supposed to do? Who gets a free day off and then DOES PAPERS?
From 11…12…FINE. From 1pm - 2:45 pm I frantically finished the two papers I had requested an extension on for one of my classes because I didn’t have time to do them last week when I was in England. The thing is, I had only requested an extension until Tuesday, because if I am anything it is somebody who MUST HAVE A DEADLINE or else I won’t do anything, but! My damn instructor! Said, glibly, OBVIOUSLY not knowing who she was replying to, “Oh, that’s fine! Just as long as you turn them in before the last day of class (September 19) that’s fine with me!”
YOU GUYS. AGH. That was the worse thing she could’ve said. However, I forced myself to get them done, although it is humorous to see what lengths I am willing to go to, to not do something I don’t want to do. I was literally bargaining with myself–”Okay. I’ll just pee, and then I’ll start my papers.” ”Okay. I’ll just have my breakfast, and then I’ll start my papers.” ”Okay. I have to brush my teeth, and THEN I’ll do my papers.” And on and on, until I was making things up, like, ‘must fold all throw blankets and put them in basket’, or, ‘must organize bookmarks in my browser’. It was bad. I am bad.
However. I got two out of the six papers done, and posted the required posts in both classes’ threaded discussions, and that’s a start. Now I just have to get four more papers done, and then I am two classes down.
Fabulous.
We’ve been doing a marathon of The Office Season 4 in preparation of September 25th’s Season Premiere (mark your calendars) and I have to say…holy god I love that show with ever fiber of my being. Clearly I’m ridiculous.
Tschuss!!
