thirty

Holy crap!  I did it!  Thirty posts in a row.  I’ll admit, the last half of the month was a lot weaker than the first half but give me a break!  Like I have said many, many times before:  My life is NOT THAT EXCITING.

Currently I’m sequestered in my bedroom writing papers, because they are due tomorrow OF COURSE, and it’s really amusing to me how desperately interesting EVERYTHING on the internet becomes when I am supposed to be doing homework. I mean, I just spent the last 30 minutes reading spoilers for Gossip Girl, and I don’t even WATCH IT.  I even did a furious search to find the promo for next week’s show…that only aired in Canada.  The promo, I mean.  I read about it in the spoilers and was like, HAVE TO FIND.  MUST WATCH NOW.  I finally tracked it down and the only reason I knew who the people in it were was because A) I had read about them and B) Lindsey watches the show.  WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?

And!  I STILL want to take FOUR CLASSES next term.  WTF!  I have some weird thing in my head that thinks the more I have to do, the quicker I’ll get stuff done.  I don’t know if that’s true or not but what I do know is the classes I am taking are split between Health Education and Health Sciences and the Health Sciences course fucking blow.  They are sooooo dull.  Like this weeks second assignment:

For the fourth assignment towards our goal, define medical futility and discuss the ethical implications of futility in the context of Resource Allocation.  Should patients or their families have a say as to what constitutes futile treatment?  Or is the decision best left to the physician?

I mean, come on.  What can you really say about that?  Like, you can only support your opinion so much in a two page paper.  But the instructor is reference mad!  Last assignment I had NINE REFERENCES for a 1.5 page paper, and in his response back to me, he said, “What you could do better:  Use more references.”

…WHATTTT?  Nearly 1/4 of the entire PAPER was in-text citations!  My god!  I would be better off searching for the topic on proquest and pulling one fact out of 15 different papers and just write down the citations.

On the other hand, the Health Education courses are all interesting.  I’ve liked all…two that I’ve taken.  I feel like I’m learning something, you know?  So my plan is to knock out all the Health Sciences classes first.  I only have two more left.  Um…Qualitative Reasoning and Principles in Client Health.  I know!  Don’t they sound AWESOME?

And yes, right now I am supposed to be writing a paper.  Sighhh.  I should go.  I doubt I’ll post tomorrow, but you never know.

Tschuss!!

*pats you on the back* Congrats! It was definitely a stretch some days for me, but now that I’ve got the rhythm going, I’m not sure I wanna stop.

I have loved reading your posts every day! If you are now returning to your regularly-scheduled not-daily updates, perhaps I shall start reading your archives … Not sure if I’ve done that yet.
