the first step

Tag: Uncategorizedammogirl @ 11:05 am

…is admitting that you sort of don’t have a lot of time for a blog anymore.  The second step is realizing that once you started taking the anti-crazy pills, your posts just weren’t as funny/filled with hysteria/interesting.  The third step, however, entails calling it quits, and I really just don’t want to do that right now.  The caveat to this all is that while I will try to post more often than three times a month, I doubt I’ll ever be back in daily posting mode.

Interestingly enough, it seems that this is about the norm for not just me but every other blog I read right now.  Maybe it’s the shitty state of the economy, maybe it’s the excitement of having a new, competent administration, or the crazy-ass weather…I don’t know.  I just know I’m not the only one not writing and I’m glad because it makes me feel less guilty.

I really am trying to stick to my resolutions, though, and in fact on Thursday, I never turned my computer on once.  Not once!  It was nice, really. Unfortunately, classes have started, so I do have research to conduct and papers to write, but school stuff doesn’t count.  To me.

Whoa.  I just TOTALLY got sidetracked by getting ribs ready for the crockpot, and then making myself a spinach salad for lunch.  Like, an hour of sidetrack.  You know what I don’t really like a whole lot?  Spinach.  I don’t hate it, though, I guess?  The leaves are too…thick or something.  And I’m already not a fan of eating leafy stuff anyway…I’d never make it as a vegetarian forager.

I uploaded pics from vacay onto my flickr–of course there are NO pictures from my sisters, which is unfortunate, yet between the lack of pictures and little-to-no discussion of my time there, it all seems very mysterious, doesn’t it?  Like, what exactly does my sister DO?  Mmhmm…wouldn’t you like to know.

Last night we went to dinner at this place called Big Emma’s, where I am not shitting you, the portions were the biggest I’ve ever seen.  For example, I ordered a half order of brats, and I when I got my plate there were four of them on it.  Four full-size brats.  Like, twice as much as I feed my family.  HUGE.  John had a steak, and after he had eaten his fill for about 30 minutes, he still had 24 oz of meat left.  We brought home enough food to feed three families for two days.  Why I’m making ribs tonight I have no idea…hmm.  Too late now, though.  But I’m set for a week!

Okay, I am heading over to flickr to edit titles and such.  And then I am doing some schoolwork.  And then I am doing nothing.

Tschuss!!

Did daily posts break you? Or did you decide to focus on your rock band career and go pro?
