pyramids!
Guess what I did today? I booked an ELEVEN DAY CRUISE to the Eastern Mediterranean and OMG HOW AWESOME WILL THAT BE? We stop in mother f-in EGYPT! Twice! And Cyprus! And four places in Greece, and two places in Italy, and holy CRAP it was expensive but TOTALLY worth it, we’re leaving in October and never get the chance again blah blah blah whatever it takes to talk myself out of having a spaz attack over OMG IT WAS SO EXPENSIVE.
You know what that means. Actually, I don’t know what that means. I was going to say time to start working out or tanning but A) I already work out and B)…I’m not tanning. But! I (we) DO have to get some FORMAL ATTIRE, for the GALA DINNER. Which sounds so fancy but will end up just being uncomfortable because really, who likes eating in formal wear?
The thing is…have I ever mentioned my total weird obsession with buying formal gowns? Ya. I have one. I have like, three or four formal dresses in my closet, that I’ve NEVER WORN, ever, and they are all red. I don’t, you know, veer much. From my path, that is. Except when I’m talking.
ANYWAY.
NOW, this weird obsession actually pays off, because WHO DOESN’T HAVE TO BUY FORMAL WEAR? Me! I don’t! Except we all know I probably will, just because. Also: shoes.
The girls decided awhile ago that they wanted to spend their last summer here, and I’ve been telling them for like, ever that they sort of need to pass that bit of info on to their dad. Well, this weekend Lindsey finally bit the bullet and sent an email and as a result the girls are spending summer with us for the first time in…lord…how many years? I’ve been divorced for ten years, so…but one or two summers we lived in the same place…hmm. It’s been a long time the girls have spent summer with us, let’s leave it at that. This exciting development required celebration, resulting in the cruise DID I MENTION THE CRUISE?
Phew. Sorry. Tad bit excited. Greece! Pyramids! Sphinx…in singular! Whatever there is in Cyprus! And THE TEMPLE OF ZEUS OMG.
Alright. Clearly I’m feeling a wee over the top. I should go.
Tschuss!!

Liz and I went on a cruise in the eastern med this past June and it the best trip Ive ever been on. The gala nights were actually fun. And I hate getting dressed up lol. We went from Venice to Bari Italy, to Katakolon (olympia), Santorini, Mykonos, Rhodes, Dubrovnik Croatia, then back to Venice. It was a great time. Sounds like your going to have a blast!!!

Awesome! If you already have four gowns, it sounds like neither John nor the girls need to go shopping for formal wear either.
