It was above 50 today and actually tolerable sans jacket, and that was awesome.  The bad thing:  because I work on and with classified all day long, we have these stupid reflective blinds that make it look perpetually stormy outside and yes, block all the sun.  In between classified moments I open my window’s blind but it’s just not enough right now.  

Okay.  So WHAT do you THINK of AI this season?  I seriously canNOT decide who my favorite is!  Everytime somebody comes up to sing I say, THAT’S my favorite!  and then the next person comes up and…yeah.  It’s like, I don’t necessarily have any one person I absolutely want to win this year, because: Allison, Anoop, Megan, Adam, Alexis, Matt G., Lil, Danny…Scott…and…I guess those are the people I like because I can’t remember anybody else and I JUST watched Tuesday’s show.  Anoop and Megan have always been early favorites of mine, and Matt G is seriously awesome, but Allison…I think she is actually my favorite now.  And I actually LIKED Adam’s version of Ring of Fire.  I just don’t know who I would vote for, if I lived in the States and could vote!  

Paula, on the other hand, is seriously chalkboard to my ears.  It makes me feel ill to listen to her talk.  Randy is not too much better this year. God I love this show.  I wish I had that ability, I mean, no matter how bad these people sound at that particular moment on that stage, they are still better than so many of the population, and I can’t imagine what it would be like to open my mouth and have something like that come out of it.  

I never did find a plugin that fit what I wanted exactly, i.e. a space to showcase items that I am currently digging.  Actually, I never did find it because I would give up within 19 seconds of searching the WordPress plugin page because that shit is hard to navigate.  First, what do you call a tool that lists stuff you like?  I tried searching for ‘favorite’ and ‘highlight’ and ‘like’ and ‘love’ and even the highly creative ‘i want’ but nothing materialized.  I did a search by category…nothing.  And then I gave up, because of the aforementioned hard navigating.  And boredom.  Instead I think I’m going to make a new page, but it might take awhile because I want to add pictures and remember, I am not so good with the inserting pictures thing.  Also because I suck at following through on my promises (recipe updates).  

I’m currently obsessed with making from scratch as much of the stuff that we eat as possible.  My latest endeavour, after buying yet ANOTHER box of Quaker Chewy granola bars (variety pack) just for the two Oatmeal Raisin bars in said box, which Taylor LOVES, is…Quaker Chewy granola bars, Oatmeal Raisin flavor.  How I go about this is first searching the interwebs for similar recipes, and once I find a recipe that seems similar to what I want, I’ll take it and modify it until it works.   For example, today I thought what the fuck, how can I be so high-horsey* over the crap my coworkers eat, if I cannot make it through the morning without my coffee and beloved creamer?  Non-dairy, totally fake creamer?  Made of fake?  So I searched for a recipe and found…one or two, and then after about 37 seconds of serious consideration I thought come on now.  GRINDING RICE?  To put in MY COFFEE?  Seriously.  

*In my defense, I’m not REALLY high-horsey about the food my coworkers eat, unless it is things like a Little Debbie Nutty Buddy washed down with a Mr. Goodbar.  THEN I will say, WTF, fatty?  Damnnnn.  But it’s all in good fun.
