Boy I just can’t come up with a title today.

Anyway, I’m working twelve-hour shifts, 9pm – 9am.  Did I mention that?  Probably not.  I’m in an exercise, AND THAT’S ALL I CAN SAY.  I’m trying to jumpstart my sleep schedule but of course it’s not working.  Shifts start tomorrow night but I had to go in this morning at 8am for training, instead of staying up late as possible (which, okay, probably would have been like…1130 or something.  I’m old) and sleeping as late as possible today.  Instead I got home around 945am and jumped in bed by 1000–I slept on and off until 330pm.  Not exactly great, but a good start.  The thing is I’m already dreading trying to stay up tonight, by myself, bored.  Ugh.  Also I woke up starving as I hadn’t eaten anything since yesterday around 3pm and instead of eating breakfast, you know, since it was my morning, I chased my coffee with freaking guacamole and Kettle Black Bean chips.  Not exactly a good combo.  In fact, my stomach feeling a little nasty.

So, weird Pampered Chef neighbor strikes again!  A little bit ago Lindsey had one of the cats outside.  She’s fluffy, but a…mutt, or whatever mixed-breed cats are called.  I guess they would be called…mixed-breed cats.  Huh.  Anyway, neighbor was outside and yelled (she never speaks but always yells) that our cat is a Persian.  Which she’s not, but when Lindsey told her that she yelled that she was, demanded Lindsey hand her over the fence, and then told her we needed to get her declawed.  To which I say, wtf, we’re not DECLAWING our cats, you CRAZY BITCH.  

I’m all for giving people the benefit of the doubt, especially people I don’t know because god knows I’ve got my quirks and issues but christ on a cracker, remove yourself from my business.  

Some notes:  

- we finally saw Benji Button and my verdict is that it was a good way to pass the evening but not awesome.  Sort of long, actually.  

- last Monday’s episode of Chuck was FREAKING BRILLIANT and I sincerely hope it doesn’t become one in a line of our favorite shows that gets cancelled (see: Firefly, Life on Mars and Terminator: SCC).  Seriously.  

- Adam is so far beyond anyone who has ever been on American Idol and I will buy anything he releases.  

- Star Trek comes out very, very soon.

- I still have no idea if the girls and I are staying here in Germany or leaving.  My application for an Indefinite DEROS (the date people stationed overseas are required to leave the specific base) was denied on the basis of overmanning, but I was granted a 30-day extension to put me in the next assignment cycle (Nov – Jan).  My Chief is hoping that the five positions we are getting back from previous manning cuts will show up on the books before then and I’ll be approved at that time.  We’ll see.
