shaking things up

Tag: Uncategorizedammogirl @ 5:55 am

Hi you guys!  Well, John left on Sunday for Alabama and checked in to OTS yesterday (or earlier today, depending on your time zone!)  We chatted a bit before he checked in and honestly, I think I was more nervous than him.  Because I am ridiculous, if you recall.

I  joined a FB group for the spouses of this OTS class annnnd…those of you who know me know that?  is not SOP for this girl.  Joining a GROUP?  Of SPOUSES?  For the sole purpose of communicating with each other?  HA HA HA!  Right? Funny thing, I have just been posting away over there.  I’m all,  ”Oh, HI, new member!”  and dispensingfriendly comments like nobodies business.  Silliness!  I’m getting soft in my old age.

ANYWAY.  The point of that was one of the wives got a brief phone call from her husband, and he told her that after checking in, they had to RUN with all their luggage across a FIELD, and then carry it (the luggage, not the field) around all day.  OMG.  How much would that SUCK?  John had: a garment bag; a duffle bag (which also contained a PRINTER); and his backpack.  Also, Alabama is much warmer than Germany, and oh, jet lag.  I can only assume that was pretty craptastic.

I probably won’t hear from John for a million weeks, because he doesn’t have a cell there and no access to internet for awhile.  WHICH IS FINE, because this is not the “TREENA HEARS FROM JOHN: NEW!” blog.

Hold on while I get some coffee.

Okay I’m back.  I’m actually supposed to be studying for my next stripe, which I am testing for on 4 December, but…I’m not.  I’ll do it TONIGHT!  I SWEAR!  Whatever, I wanted to tell you about a new thing which may or may not interest you, depending on how stalkery you are.  I’m going to do a food log/workout page which will hopefully guilt me into not being sloth-like OMG what am I SAYING?  That sounds so BORING!  Never mind.

Back to the drawing board.

Tschuss!!

Good luck to you and John! I hope you find the group enlightening and the time with your girls terrific. Here’s hoping the studying happened and went so quickly and easily you can reward yourself later. ;-)
