Your Standard Pesto, With a Bit of a Kick
We like things spicy around here.
1/4 cup garlic and red pepper infused olive oil
1/2 cup pine nuts
2 cups firmly packed fresh basil
1/2 cup shredded Pecorino-Romano cheese
3-4 cloves garlic, peeled and roughly chopped
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1/4 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes

Put everything in your food processor/hand blender attachment/other choppy thing, place the lid on, and process it all until smooth and a pretty green. Try not to eat it all during taste tests.
